Contractor Membership Agreement

This Contractor Agreement is a supplement to our Terms of Use and applies specifically to any business that creates a listing on Home Pros Guru. By submitting a listing, you agree to both documents.

1. What You're Representing

When you submit a listing, you're representing that: you're an owner or authorized representative of the business named; the business name, contact details, license number, and insurance status you provide are accurate and current; and any category, service area, certification, or years-in-business you select genuinely reflects the work the business does. If your license, insurance, or contact information changes, you're responsible for updating your listing.

2. The Approval Process

A new or edited listing does not go live automatically. A member of our team reviews the submission against our listing standards before it's published to the directory. This typically covers basic legitimacy checks (a real, reachable business) and duplicate-listing checks (the same business, phone number, or email isn't already listed). Approval is not an endorsement of your work quality, and it doesn't verify your license or insurance with the issuing authority. It confirms the listing meets our submission standards at the time of review.

We aim to review new submissions within a few business days. If we decline a submission, we'll tell you why so you can correct it and resubmit.

3. Standards While Listed

To stay listed in good standing, you agree to: respond to homeowner inquiries that come through the Platform in a reasonably timely and professional manner; keep your listing information accurate; and represent your licensing, insurance, and certifications truthfully. We may flag, suspend, or remove a listing for a pattern of unresolved homeowner complaints, confirmed misrepresentation, or a report that a license or insurance claim doesn't check out.

4. No Exclusivity, No Guaranteed Leads

A listing on Home Pros Guru does not guarantee inquiries, leads, or any minimum level of visibility, including for paid membership tiers. Paid plans affect how prominently a listing can appear, not whether homeowners choose to contact you. We don't restrict how many businesses in the same category or city can list, and we don't offer territorial exclusivity at any membership level.

5. Fees Are for Listing Placement Only

Any fee you pay for a paid membership tier is solely for the placement, features, and visibility described on our Membership page. It is not a fee for leads, referrals, introductions, or any completed project, and Home Pros Guru does not take a percentage of, or fee based on, any project value between you and a homeowner.

6. Removal and Suspension

We may suspend or remove a listing at our discretion, including for the reasons described in Section 3 or in our Terms of Use. Where practical, we'll tell you why. You can also request removal of your own listing at any time by contacting support@homeprosguru.com.

7. Relationship to the Terms of Use

This Agreement doesn't replace the Terms of Use. Where the two overlap, the more specific term in this Agreement governs for contractor listings; everything else in the Terms of Use still applies.
